LITERARY SEMIOTICS ANALYSIS OF DERİNİ YÜZECEĞİM NOVEL

Abstract

In this study, Derini Yüzeceğim novel will analyzed within the framework of semiotic theory and in light of the emerging data, the secondary position of female identity, which is marginalized against men, is evaluated from a feminist perspective. While analyzing the fiction in the texts, the actantial model, which combines systematic organization and various practical arrangements, is used. The actantial model, which is a semiotic analysis method with three agent categories, each of which creates a binary opposition, and reaches the deep structure of meaning from the surface structure of the text; It is used in the analysis of narrative characters and its syllabus, space, time and section. The semiotic cross-section is done in the focus of time, which includes an investigation process with ongoing murders. After the seventeen sections obtained, a deep analysis of the text, which is related to the social plane based on gender, is made. During the analysis in question, a metalanguage is formed, and in this metalanguage, the deep-level binary structures throughout the novel are addressed in terms of the ideology of the detective novel, emphasizing the gender distinction, and the construction of male-female identity.

Özet

Bu çalışmada Derini Yüzeceğim adlı roman göstergebilim kuramı çerçevesinde çözümlenmekte ve ortaya çıkan veriler ışığında kadın kimliğinin erkek karşısında ötekileştirilen ikincil konumu feminist bakış açısıyla değerlendirilmektedir. Metinlerdeki kurgu çözümlenirken Algirdas Julien Greimas’ın sistemli kuruluş ile pratiğe dayalı çeşitli düzenlemeleri kaynaştıran “eyleyenler modeli”nden yararlanılmaktadır. Her biri ikili bir karşıtlık oluşturan üç eyleyen kategorisiyle göstergebilimsel bir çözümleme yöntemi olan ve metnin yüzey yapısından hareketle derin yapıdaki anlam evrenine ulaşmayı hedefleyen eyleyenler modeli; anlatı kişileri ile izlencesi, uzam, zaman ve kesit incelemesinde kullanılmaktadır. Göstergebilimsel kesitleme, devam eden cinayetlerle beraber bir soruşturma sürecini kapsayan zamanın odağında yapılmaktadır. Elde edilen on yedi kesitin ardından cinsiyet temelinde toplumsal düzlem ile ilişkisi kurulan metnin derin analizi yapılmaktadır. Söz konusu analiz yapılırken bir üstdil oluşturulmakta ve bu üstdilde, roman boyunca derin düzlemde yer alan ikili yapılara polisiye romanın ideolojisi, cinsiyet ayrımının vurgulanması ve kadın-erkek kimliğinin inşası bakımından değinilmektedir.
