The Investigation On The Seismic Behavior Of Gusset Plates In Steel Structures

Abstract
The gusset plates are commonly used to connect members of steel structures today, as in the past. It is widely used especially in the design of truss (plane and space) systems and stability elements (vertical, horizontal and lateral). In this study, the behavior of gusset plates under seismic loads and the effect of this behavior on the structural system are investigated. Additionally, the matters to be taken into consideration in the design of connection nodes with gusset plates in practice is briefly explained.
Özet
Bayrak levhaları, çelik yapı elemanlarının birleşimlerinde geçmişte olduğu gibi günümüzde de yaygın olarak kullanılmaktadır. Özellikle kafes (düzlem ve uzay) sistemlerin ve stabilite (düşey, yatay ve yanal) elemanlarının teşkilinde yaygın olarak kullanılmaktadır. Bu çalışmada, sismik yükler altında bayrak levhalarının davranışı ve bu davranışın taşıyıcı sistem üzerindeki etkileri araştırılmıştır. Ayrıca, uygulamada düğüm noktalarının bayrak levhalı olarak teşkilinde dikkat edilmesi gereken hususlar da kısaca anlatılmıştır.
