Abstract
In this study, the curriculum and internal instruction of “Makriköy İnas İttihadiOsmani Mektebi” is told and analyzed. Accordingly, the aim of „mektep‟ is to trainin both Ottoman Turkish and French. Female-specific skills are intended to begained by the students. Religious sensibility is also at the forefront. Besides, moralsand national Ottoman discipline are aimed to be given. „Mektep‟ is constituted bythe nursery class and primary school classes. Games, songs and manipulative skillsare intended to be given in nursery class, and on the other hand, some courses suchas Turkish and French in particular, writing, calculation, manual works, geographyand history will be given. „Mektep‟ is fee-paying. The main purpose of „mektep‟ is tomake the students to complete their education within the scope of Ottoman discipline.Herein, any occasions would be appealed. With the modern education, whichwas settled in the Second Constitutional Period through this program, it can beunderstood that schools for girls are also intended to upgrade at the level of Europeanstandards. Hence, the education received would help to accelerate the activitiesof Turkish women in social and cultural life.
Özet
Bu çalışmada, II.Meşrutiyet dönemi mekteplerinden Makriköy İnas İttihadi Osmani Mektebi tedrisat programı ve talimatı dahiliyesi aktarılıp analiz edilmektedir. Buna göre; mektep Osmanlıca ve Fransızca eğitim vermek amacındadır. Kadınlara özgü maharetler öğrencilere kazandırılmak istenilmektedir. Dini hassasiyet de ön plan-dadır. Ayrıca ahlak ve milli Osmanlı terbiyesi verilmek istenmektedir. Mektep ana sınıfı ve ilköğretim sınıflarından oluşmaktadır. Ana sınıfında oyunlar, şarkılar, el becerileri verilmek istenirken ilköğretim sınıflarında Türkçe ve Fransızca ağırlıkta olmak üzere yazı, hesap, el işleri, coğrafya, tarih gibi dersler verilecektir. Mektep ücretlidir. Mektebin asıl maksadı Osmanlı terbiyesi dairesinde talebenin tahsilini tamamlatmaktır. Bu noktada her vesileye başvurulacaktır. İlgili programla II.Meşrutiyet döneminde yerleşen modern eğitim anlayışıyla kız okullarının da Av-rupa standartlarına yükseltilmek istendiği anlaşılmaktadır. Nitekim alınan eğitim, Türk kadınının sosyal ve kültürel hayattaki faaliyetlerini hızlandırmasına da yar-dımcı olacaktır.
