The Evaluation of Special Education Lesson In Terms of Attitudes Towards Mainstreaming and Attaintments

Abstract
Examining attitudes of preservice mathematics teachers before and after the applications made in scope of special education lessons, investigating the change of the attitudes according to the genders and expressing attaintments of preservice teachers after the application were aims of this study. In the present study mixed method was used. The sample of the study consists of 38 presevice teachers. Attitude scale for individuals who are affected from inability and a view form were used as data gathering tools. It was concluded that initially, people with disabilities were perceived as different from others by pre-service teachers, but then people with disabilities were not perceived as different from others by pre-service teachers and the study increased awareness level of students and changed their point of views positively. Also the attitudes of the preservice teachers didn’t change according to the genders and the attaintments of the preservice teachers got after the applications were expressed.
Özet
Araştırmanın amacı, ilköğretim matematik öğretmen adaylarıyla gerçekleştirilen özel eğitim dersi kapsamında yapılan çalışmaların öncesi ve sonrasında, öğretmen adaylarının tutumlarını incelemek, tutumların cinsiyetlere göre değişip değişmediğini araştırmak ve yapılan eğitim sonrasında öğretmen adaylarının elde ettikleri kazanımları ifade etmektir. Mevcut araştırmada hem nicel hem de nitel olmak üzere karma desen kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklemini Marmara Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi İlköğretim Bölümü Matematik Öğretmenliği Programı dördüncü sınıfta öğrenim gören 38 öğretmen adayı oluşturmaktadır. Veri toplama araçları olarak “Yetersizlikten etkilenmiş bireylere yönelik tutum ölçeği” ve bir görüş formu kullanılmıştır. Sonuçta da, başlangıçta öğretmen adaylarınca engelli kişilerin engelsiz kişilerden farklı algılandığı, ancak sonrasında öğretmen adaylarınca engelli kişilerin engelsiz kişilerden farklı algılanmadığı ve cinsiyetler arasında ön tutum ve son tutum puanları bakımından bir farklılık olmadığı belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca öğretmen adaylarınca Özel eğitim dersi kapsamında yapılan uygulamalar neticesinde öğretmen adaylarının elde ettikleri kazanımlar ifade edilmiştir.
