Some Basic Concepts of the Holy Quran Reflecting its View of Time and Relations Between Life

Kurân-ı Kerim’in Zamana Bakışını Yansıtan Bazı Temel Kavramlar ve Yaşam Arasındaki Anlam İlişkileri

Abstract

One of the most important factors of human life is time. The human being lives together with it. The human being is aware of its presence. But in the most of the time, the human being is not aware of how the time has a big importance for himself/herself. The human being thinks that it is necessary to seriously contemplate this subject. But this thought of the human being is not found a place in the life. Here based on the time concept in our lives in an important position, it has been tried to examine how the Qur’an approaches the subject of time in this study within the framework of some basic concepts related to the subject. Since the Qur’an did not mention the time word directly, “dehr” and “asr” words substituted for it were emphasized. The views of those who argue that life is only in this world were evaluated taking into account of the relation of Dehr's word to the human being. Besides, the connection between dehr and Allah Teâla and the narratives on this subject were emphasized. Based on the "Asr" sura, the meanings of the word of the asr were tried to be examined and opinions of the commentators on the subject were included. Within the framework of all this information, human being against the time in the position and the situation in which it is assessed were tried to be revealed.

İnsan hayatının en önemli unsurlarından biri zamandır. İnsan onunla beraber yaşar. Onun varlığından haberdardır. Ama çoğu zaman onun kendisi için ne kadar büyük bir öneme sahip olduğunun farkında değildir. İnsan bu konuda ciddi bir şekilde tefekkür etmenin gerekli olduğunu düşünür. Ama bu düşüncesi hayat içinde yer bulmuş değildir. İşte zaman mefhumunun hayatımızdaki önemli konumundan hareketle bu çalışmada Kur’an-ı Kerim’in zaman konusuna nasıl yaklaştığı, konuyla ilgili bazı temel kavramlar çerçevesinde incelenmeye çalışılmıştır. Kur’ân’da zaman kelimesi doğrudan geçmediği için onun yerine kullanılan dehr ve asr kelimeleri üzerinde durulmuş. Dehr kelimesinin insan ile ilişkisi ele alınarak yaşamın sadece bu dünyadan ibaret olduğunu savunanların görüşleri değerlendirilmiştir. Ayrıca dehr ve Allah Teâla arasındaki irtibat ve bu konudaki rivayetler üzerinde durulmuş. Asr suresinden hareketle asr kelimesinin anlamları, incelenmeye çalışılmış ve müfessirlerin konuyla ilgili görüşlerine yer verilmiştir. Bütün bu bilgiler çerçevesinde insanın zaman karşısındaki konumu ve onu değerlendirmekteki durumu ortaya koyulmaya çalışılmıştır.
