Abstract
In this article, we tried to examine the desire of Ilsebil, a figure in "Fisherman and His Wife” from the Grimm Tale, to be God. The perception of God throughout the history of man and in his daily chores necessitates, due to his styles of perception and sustentation, sometimes to put the self into the shoes of God for many reasons. Furthermore, this article attempts to describe the underlying reasons of man's desire to be God with their religious background.
