Türk Sinemasında Göç Temalı İstanbul Filmleri Üzerinden Kentlerdeki Mekânsal ve Toplumsal Değişimlerin İncelenmesi

Abstract

Today, discussing urban regeneration issue frequently, different arguments are developed onmigration phenomenon and its social impacts; this directs us to studies which helps tounderstand processes of slummization and existence in urban area. While doing this, it isobvious that studies which bring different disciplines together enriches the issue more. Asmultidimensional content of the issue paves the way for different approaches, consideringeach approach - especially former experiences in Turkish cinema, doing such an examinationthrough films as a paper trail presents us new point of views.From this point of view, it is the focus of the study to try to link the urban planning area bymaking evaluations on the visual contents of the urban elements such as migration and slumsto the cinema. Such an effort is important for cinema that is both a form of representationand an effective art form in achieving a visual quality of many of the theoretical meanings.Along with the literature review, the study is based on the inferences which is attainedthrough characteristics such as migration characteristics, housing types, profession groups,cultural structures etc. of selected movies those narrates different processes of migration.Doing so the study, which focuses especially on social and spatial problems migration faces,examines the process from 1960s to today although the issue dates further back. The changing social and spatial characteristics of Istanbul, an important destination for immigration, have been tried to be evaluated through the selection of films that best reflect these characteristics on the scene. Istanbul has created the starting point of such an evaluation with the reason of its different position in the urbanization practice of Turkey, especially in terms of the migration processes and on the basis of this being the subject matter of the films.

Kentsel dönüşümün sıklıkla tartışıldığı günümüzde yarattığı toplumsal ve sosyal etkilerleüzerinde farklı argümanlar geliştirilen göç olgusu, bizleri gecekondulaşmayı ve kentselmekanda var olma süreçlerini anlamamızı sağlayacak araştırmalara yöneltmektedir. Bunuyaparken farklı disiplinleri bir araya getiren çalışmaların konuyu daha da zenginleştirmekteolduğu açıktır. Konunun çok boyutlu içeriği farklı ele alışların önünü açmakta olup, her biriözellikle de Türk sinemasının geçmiş deneyimleri göz önünde bulundurulduğunda, birer belgeniteliği taşıyan filmler üzerinden böyle bir irdelemeyi yapmak bize yeni olanaklar sunmaktadır.Bu noktadan hareketle, paylaşılan çalışma, göç ve gecekondu gibi kentsel unsurların sinemayayansıyan görsel içerikleri ile kent planlama alanı arasında bağ kurma yolunu benimsemiştir.Böyle bir çaba gerek sinemanın bir temsil biçimi olması, gerekse de teorik anlamdaki pek çokkonunun görsel bir niteliğe kavuşmasında etkili bir sanat dalı olması bakımından önemlidir.Çalışma literatür çalışmasının yanı sıra göçün farklı süreçlerini anlatan seçilmiş Türk filmleriüzerinden göç özellikleri, konut türleri, meslek grupları, kültürel yapılar vb. özellikler üzerindenelde edilen çıkarımlara temellendirilmiştir. Göç açısından önemli bir varış noktası olan İstanbulkentinin değişen sosyal ve mekânsal özellikleri, bu özellikleri perdeye en iyi yansıtmış olanfilmler arasından yapılmış seçimler üzerinden değerlendirmeye çalışılmıştır. İstanbul’un Türkiyekentleşme pratiği içerisinde özellikle göç süreçleri açısından var olan farklı konumu ve butemelde filmlere konu olma özelliği nedeni ile böyle bir değerlendirmenin çıkış noktasınıoluşturmuştur.
