Trade Dynamics in BRICS Countries: An Analysis of Trade Intensity Index with Turkey and BRICS Group Countries

Abstract
BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa), which have more than 40% of the world population and about 25% of the global GDP, are expected to have global economic powers in the years, thanks to the economic performance of the countries. Turkey is also in a similar manner having shown that the BRICS group of countries in the near future will have on economic performance and economy is increasing the participation of opinion between these groups. It is estimated that these countries will constitute 50% of global GDP in the next 30 years. In order to explain basic characteristics which aims to reveal these workplaces in global trade respectively BRICS group of countries the foreign trade between Turkey and the BRICS group of countries then Turkey's BRICS group of foreign trade in some of the countries with the country tried to be described to show how a development from 2010 to until the end of 2019. It has also been analyzed using the foreign trade import and export intensity index between the years 2010-2019 took place between the BRICS group of countries with Turkey. In the study results, Turkey made the development of the BRICS group of countries with bilateral trade but given the trade deficit in bilateral trade results that have made and foreign trade of the BRICS group of countries have concluded that you favor.
Özet
Dünya nüfusunun %-40’ından fazlasına ve küresel Gayri Safi Yurtiçi Hasıla’nın (GSYİH) yaklaşık %-25’ine sahip olan BRICS (Brezilya, Rusya, Hindistan, Çin ve Güney Afrika) grubu ülkelerinin son yıllarda göstermiş oldukları ekonomik performansları sayesinde önümüzde yılların küresel ekonomik güçleri olacağı düşünülmektedir. Türkiye’nin de benzer bir şekilde yakın gelecekte BRICS grubu ülkelerinin göstermiş olduğu ekonomik performansa sahip olacağı ve ekonomisi ile bu grubun arasına katılacağı görüşü giderek artmaktadır. Önümüzdeki 30 yıl içerisinde de bu ülkelerin küresel Gayri Safi Yurtiçi Hasıla’nın %-50’sini oluşturacağı tahmin edilmektedir. Türkiye’nin BRICS grubu ülkeleriyle dış ticaretinin temel karakteristiklerini ortaya koymayı hedefleyen bu çalışmada, BRICS grubu ülkelerinin küresel ticaretteki yerleri açıklandıktan sonra Türkiye’nin BRICS grubu ülkeleriyle ülke bazında dış ticaretinin 2010 yılından 2019 yılı sonuna kadar nasıl bir gelişim gösterdiği betimlenmeye çalışılmaktadır. Ayrıca, 2010-2019 yılları arasında Türkiye ile BRICS grubu ülkeleri arasındaki dış ticaret ilişkileri ihracat ve ithalat yoğunluk endeksleri kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Çalışma sonucunda, Türkiye’nin BRICS grubu ülkeler ile ikili ticaretinin gelişme gösterdiği ancak gerçekleştirmiş olduğu ikili ticaret sonucunda dış ticaret açıkları verdiği ve dış ticaretin BRICS grubu ülkeler lehine olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır.
