Bileсik and Goynuk:Ancient Locations of the Oguz Turks

Abstract

The article is devoted to the history of the emergence of such toponyms as Bilecik and Goynuk. The author notes that cities and villages under these names are also found in the territory of the Turkey and Azerbaijan. In Turkey, under the name Bilecik, there is a region and a regional center, a city of medium size, and a small town and several villages in various regions under the name Goynuk. At the same time there are several villages in different areas under the name Bilecik and Goynuk in Azerbaijan. A study of the history of the emergence of these toponyms shows that their names are associated with the activities of various Turkic tribes. The toponymy "Bilecik" has Bulgarian-Oguz origin while the toponymy "Goynuk" arose because of the activities of the Oguz tribe Kynyk. There is another explanation for the meaning of the name “Goynuk” which means “green land” “green place” in translation from the language of the Oguz tribe Kynyk. This proves once again that the Turkic populations of the Turkish Republic and Azerbaijan have common historical roots.

Məqalə Biləcik və Göynuk kimi toponimlərin yaranma tarixinə həsr edilmişdir. Müəllif qeyd edir ki, bu adlar altında olan şəhərlər və kəndlər həm Türkiyə, həm də Azərbaycan ərazisində mövcuddur. Türkiyədə Biləcik adı altında bir bölgə və bir bölgə mərkəzi, orta ölçülü bir şəhər və Göynuk adı altında müxtəlif bölgələrdə kiçik bir şəhər və bir neçə kənd var. Eyni zamanda Azərbaycanda Biləcik və Göynük adı altında müxtəlif ərazilərdə bir neçə kənd vardır.Bu toponimlərin yaranma tarixinin araşdırması göstərir ki, onların adları müxtəlif türk tayfalarının fəaliyyəti ilə əlaqəli olmuşdur. "Biləcik" toponimi Bolqar-Oğuz mənşəlidir, "Göynuk" toponimi isə Oğuz tayfasının Qınıq boyunun fəaliyyətinə görə yaranmışdır. Oğuz tayfasının Qınıq şivəsindən tərcümədə “Göynük” sözü “yaşıl torpaq” “yaşıl yer” mənasını verir. Bu, bir daha sübut edir ki, Türkiyə Cümhuriyyəti və Azərbaycanda yaşayan türk xalqı ortaq tarixi köklərə malikdir.
