Halal Hotel Concept as a Basic Element of the Halal Tourism

Abstract
The concept of halal tourism, refers to the limits both service providers and service areas. In terms of service providers, in the area of travel agency, hospitality, religious tourism, etc. must comply with Islamic rules. In terms of service areas while traveling and while receiving hotel services must to supply of appropriate tools and the spaces according to Islamic rules. All of these processes Halal food supply play an important role. Standard of Halal Management System-Hotels which developed by TSE in our country has represented an important step in this regard. In addition, the standard preparation work carried out by SMIIC and IHATO’s efforts are noteworthy.
Özet
Helal turizm, hem hizmet verenler hem de hizmet alanlar açısından birtakım ilke ve sınırları ifade etmektedir. Hizmet verenler bakımından seyahat acenteliği, otelcilik, inanç turizmi vb. alanlarda İslamî kurallara riayet yanında hizmet alanlar açısından da gerek seyahat esnasında, gerek otelcilik hizmetleri alırken şer‘î ölçülere uygun araç ve mekânların teminini talep hakkını içermektedir. Bütün bu süreçlerde helal gıda teminin de önemli rolü bulunmaktadır. Bu konuda ülkemizde TSE tarafından geliştirilen “Helal Yönetim Sistemi-Oteller” Standardı bu konuda önemli bir adımı ifade etmektedir. Ayrıca SMIIC tarafından yürütülen standart hazırlama çalışmaları ile IHATO’nun gayretleri kayda değerdir.
