Stylistic displacement and its Effect on the meaning of surat al-Fatihah

Abstract

This paper discusses the linguistic phenomenon of replacement at the rhythmic, structural, lexical and morphological levels in Surat al-Fatihah. As one of the most prominent stylistic techniques, replacement is a term that manifests itself in the the creative ability to go beyond the commonly adopted standards, or contrary to the mainstream, so to speak. The main purpose of this technique is to astonish the recipient by going against the regular rules of the language. The Holy Quran is the best example of the literary text in which we can see the replacement of structures and expressions contrary to grammatical and morphological rules. In this paper, the researcher has given an account of the phenomena being replaced in Surat al-Fatihah from the perspective of linguistic criteria at three levels: rhythmic, structural and lexical. The research findings conclude that the Noble Surah is striking in its unusual way of defying all forces and powers.

Özet

Bu araştırma ritim, terkip, lügat ve sarf ekseninde mutat olmayan üslubu tercih edip mutat olanı terk etme (inziyâh) olgusunu Fatiha Suresi özelinde ele almaktadır ki bu olgu üslup biliminin (stilistik) en önemli özelliklerindendir. İnziyâh kavramı, yazarın mutat ve alışılmış olanı ne denli aşmasına bağlıdır. Başka bir ifadeyle bu kavram, alışılagelenin zıddıdır. Bu olgunun esas amacı okuru şaşırtmak ve ilgisini arttırmaktır. Nitekim söz konusu üslup, klasik dilsel ölçü ve standartlardan farklılık arz etmektedir. İnziyâh üslubunu ve mutat dilsel kurallardan uzaklaşma olgusunu en mükemmel haliyle müşahede edeceğimiz üstün edebi örnek tabi ki Kuran-ı Kerim’dir. Bu araştırmada dil kurallarında inziyâh olgusunu; ritim, terkip ve lügat olmak üzere üç boyut ekseninde ele aldık. Araştırma sonucunda Fatiha Suresi, gerçekten de mutat olan üslupların dışına çıkma yönüyle dikkatleri celp etmiş ve güç-yetenek sahiplerine meydan okumuştur..
