ANALYSİS OF THE STORY OF NAḪLETUN ‘ALÂ’L-CEDVEL BY THE SUDANESE WRİTER TAYEB SALİH

SUDANLI YAZAR TAYYİB SÂLİH’İN NAḪLETUN ‘ALÂ’L-CEDVEL ADLI HİKÂYESİNİN TAHLİLİ

Abstract

This article is concerned with analyzing the story of Naḫletun ‘alâ’l-cedvel by the Sudanese Arab writer Tayeb Salih, who is considered one of the most important representatives of modern Arabic literature. The first chapter of the article gives readers detailed information about the tale of Naḫletun ‘alâ’l-cedvel on the chart. In the second chapter, the history of Sudan and the topics presented by the author were analyzed, as well as his influence on the book, his style in the literary movement, the date he wrote the story, information about his feelings during its publication in the magazine, and the reasons that prepared the writer for this story. In the third chapter of the story of Naḫletun ‘alâ’l-cedvel, the historical time of the story, the political, economic and geographical characteristics, and the heritage history of Sudan were analyzed. After that, the history of the relationship of the causes affecting the writer during writing the story was analyzed. As for the fourth chapter in the story of Naḫletun ‘alâ’l-cedvel, it was analyzed from the literary and technical side in terms of the writer's style and his focus on the event, language, characters, place and time.

Özet

Bu makalede modern Arap edebiyatının önemli temsilcilerinden biri olan Sudanlı Tayyib Sâlih’in Naḫletun ‘alâ’l-cedvel adlı hikâyesi ele alınmaktadır. Makalenin birinci bölümünde Naḫletun ‘alâ’l-cedvel adlı hikâye hakkında okuyucuya ön bilgiler verilmektedir. İkinci bölümde ise eserin dayandığı tarihsel arka plan ele alınmaktadır. Ayrıca yazarın hikâyede ele aldığı konular, etkilendiği yazarlar, hikâyede mensup olduğu edebi akım, hikâyeyi yazma tarihi ve yayınladığı gazete hakkında bilgiler verilip son olarak yazarın hikâyeyle ilgili düşünceleri ve hisleri belirtilmektedir. Üçüncü bölümde Naḫletun ‘alâ’l-cedvel adlı hikâyenin dayandığı tarihsel arka planda Sudan incelenmektedir. Hikâyenin yazıldığı tarihte Sudan’ın siyasi, ekonomik, coğrafi, tarihi ve kültürel özellikleri incelenerek analiz edilmektedir. Akabinde hikâye ile hikâyenin yazıldığı tarihte Sudan’ın tarihsel arka planı arasındaki ilişki üzerinde durularak çıkarımlarda bulunulmaktadır. Dördüncü bölümde ise Naḫletun ‘alâ’l-cedvel adlı hikâye edebi açıdan tahlil edilmektedir. Hikâye olay örgüsü, şahıs kadrosu, zaman ve mekân, anlatım teknikleri, dil ve üslup ve tema bakımından incelenerek teknik ve tematik bir çözümleme yapılmaktadır.
