Abstract

One of the oldest questions in the history of thought and still relevant today is knowing what reality is. Because, as it is hard to ignore reality, to speak of it even points to its existence. In addition, being both in reality and making a qualification about it brings certain errors. Charles Sanders Peirce, who identified these errors, attempted to analyze the problem of reality from a pragmatic point of view. For him, the reality is ultimately the object of truth, which seeks to unite all researchers on one subject. However, it is obvious that such a consensus cannot be obtained independently of experience. Our aim is to reveal the importance of experience and try to understand what kind of smart glue is it between thought and reality. This article emphasizes on the one hand, that experience is the fixative of the belief which have as source the reality, on the other hand, that it provides the realization of the true belief by linking the reality to the thought and during these two reactions, it plays as "catalyst". Then, the notion of "sufficient experience" which reflects the effort of the experience to increase from particular to universal is formulated. In the final part of our study, the transformational and linking aspect of experience will be examined and it will be pointed out that time intervention is essential in this process.
