The parasitoids and predators of the Olive psyllid [Euphyllura straminea Loginova (Hemiptera: Psyllidae)] in olive orchards in Adana and Mersin provinces (Turkey)

Abstract
This study was conducted in 2008-2010 period to determine the parasitoids and predators of Euphyllura straminea Loginova which causes damage in olive orchards in Adana and Mersin provinces. The parasitoids and predators were tried to be determined through visual observations and knock down methods. Based on this study, 14 parasitoids and predators from 8 familia and 7 orders were determined. Parasitoids were Psyllaephagus euphyllurae Silv., Trechnites sp., Pachyneuron sp. while predators were Chrysopa sp., Chilocorus bipustulatus L., Pharoscymnus pharoides Marsh., Oenopia conglobata L., Anthocoris nemoralis F., Metasyrphus corollae F., Sphoerophoria scripta L., Forficula auricularia L., Guanchia sp., Forficula lurida Fischer, Typhlodromus athiasae Porath and Swirski. Among them the most common species in olive orchards were Psyllaephagus euphyllurae, Chrysopa sp., Pharoscymnus pharoides Marsh. and Anthocoris nemoralis (F.).
Özet
Adana ve Mersin yöresinde bulunan zeytin bahçelerinde zararlı, Euphyllura straminea Loginova’nın parazitoit ve predatörlerinin tespit edilmesi amacıyla ele alınan bu çalışma 2008–2010 yıllarında yapılmıştır. Parazitoit ve predatörler gözle kontrol ve darbe yöntemi uygulanarak saptanmaya çalışılmıştır. Çalışma sonucunda 7 takıma bağlı, 8 familyaya ait 14 adet parazitoit ve predatör tür belirlenmiştir. Parazitoit türler Psyllaephagus euphyllurae Silv., Trechnites sp., Pachyneuron sp. ve predatör türler ise Chrysopa sp., Chilocorus bipustulatus L., Pharoscymnus pharoides Marsh., Oenopia conglobata L., Anthocoris nemoralis F., Metasyrphus corollae F., Sphoerophoria scripta L., Forficula auricularia L., Guanchia sp., Forficula lurida Fischer, Typhlodromus athiasae Porath and Swirski’dir. Bunların arasından zeytin bahçelerinde en fazla sayıda Psyllaephagus euphyllurae, Chrysopa sp., Pharoscymnus pharoides Marsh. ve Anthocoris nemoralis F. türlerine rastlanmıştır.
