Some physical and chemical properties of soils in where different natural orchid species grown in Van region

Abstract
In this study, some physical and chemical properties of the soil of twelve orchid species belong to the genus Anacamptis, Cephalanthera, Dactylorhiza, Orchis and Ophrys, which are also known as Van sahlep in Turkey, were determined. Analysis of the investigated characteristics of orchid soil were determined as follows; sand: 15.2-58%, silt: 18-66 %, the clay 8.4-24.8%; pH: 7.188.54: salt: 0.17-0.68 dS/m; lime: 0.63-30.76 %; organic matter: 0.58-2.23%; nitrogen: 0.25-1.09%, phosphorus: 6.65-18.02 mg kg-1; potassium: 360.42-954.65 mg kg-1; sodium: 188.7-902.7 mg kg-1; magnesium: 256.79-2461.47 mg kg-1; iron: 24.83-420.96 mg kg-1; copper: 1.58-5:50 mg kg-1; manganese: 91.14-373.50 mg kg-1 and zinc:0.46- 1.21mg kg-1

Bu çalışmada içlerinde, ülkemizde Van salebi olarak bilinen bazı karasal orkide türlerinin de bulunduğu Anacamptis, Cephalanthera, Dactylorhiza, Orchis ve Ophrys cinslerine ait on iki orkide türünün yetiştiği toprakların bazı fiziksel ve kimyasal özellikleri belirlenmiştir. Analiz edilen orkide topraklarında; kum: %15.2-58, silt: %18-66, kil: %8.4-24.8; pH: 7.18-8.54; tuz: 0.17-0.68 ds/m; kireç: %0.63-30.76; organik madde: %0.58-2.23; azot (N): %0.25-1.09; fosfor (P): 6.65-18.02 mg kg-1; potasyum (K): 360.42-954.65 mg kg-1; sodyum (Na): 188.7-902.7 mg kg-1; magnezyum (Mg): 256.79-2461.47 mg kg-1; demir (Fe): 24.83-420.96 mg kg-1; bakır (Cu): 1.58-5.50 mg kg-1; mangan (Mn): 91.14-373.50 mg kg-1 ve çinko (Zn): 0.46-1.21 mg kg-1 olarak belirlenmiştir
