HASTA YAŞAM KALİTESİNDE TIBBİ SOSYAL HİZMET UYGULAMALARININ ÖNEMİ

Abstract

The aim of this study is to establish the professional role of the social work discipline, which occupies a significant place in terms of the patients’ quality of life, and the social work practices conducted in the hospital environment in Turkey via examples arranged in line with a historical perspective. In addition, the study aims to emphasize the importance of these practices in terms of their positive support to the patient’s social functionality by minimizing the psychosocial effects of the respective condition on the individual and their family and their indirect contribution to their quality of life.

Özet

Bu çalışmanın amacı, hastaların yaşam kalitesi açısından önemli bir yere sahip olan sosyal hizmet disiplininin profesyonel rolünü ve Türkiye’de hastane ortamlarında yürütülen sosyal hizmet uygulamalarını tarihsel bir akış içerisinde örneklerle ortaya koymaktır. Ayrıca bu uygulamaların hastalığın birey ve ailesi üzerine psiko-sosyal etkilerini minimum düzeye indirerek sosyal işlevselliklerini olumlu yönde destekleyen ve dolaylı olarak yaşam kalitesine katkı sağlayan bir öneme sahip olduğunu vurgulamaktır
