A Study on Determining Cooperativization and Social Security Situation of The Farms in Erzurum Province

Abstract
The aim of this study is to determine education levels, labour power, social security situation andcooperativization structure of the farmers in Erzurum province. The data used in this research were collected from174 farms through a survey study in which samples were determined by simple random sampling method from 18villages in the year of 2005.According to the result of the study, cooperation hes not been yet settle down in thestudy area. İt is determined that 32 percent of farmers does not believe the usefulness of cooperation
Özet
Bu çalışma, Erzurum ili tarım işletmelerinde çiftçilerin nüfus, eğitim, işgücü, sosyal güvenlik ve kooperatifleşmedüzeyini belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırma yöresini temsil edecek şekilde toplam 18 köyden 174işletme basit tesadüfi örnekleme yöntemi ile belirlenmiş ve bu işletmelerde 2005 üretim yılına ilişkin bilgileranket yolu ile temin edilmiştir.Araştırma sonuçlarına göre, kooperatifleşme olgusu araştırma alanına henüz tamoturmamıştır. Çiftçilerin %32'lik kesimi kooperatiflerin hiçbir işe yaramadığı kanısında olduklarını belirtmişlerdir
