Analysis of Urban Logistics and Tram Passenger Satisfaction According to Demographic Characteristics: A Case Study of Gaziantep

Abstract

The population of cities is constantly increasing due to various reasons such as increased educational opportunities, educational levels and increased employment opportunities. The biggest problems with increasing urban population are; noise pollution, air pollution and transportation problems. Transportation is one of the primary problems to be solved by the local authorities, but rail systems are considered as the best solution.The aim of this study was to measure the satisfaction of the tram transport services offered in the city of Gaziantep and to investigate the differences between the users according to the demographic factors. For this purpose, a questionnaire was applied and the data were analyzed in SPSS 23 statistical package program and the findings were tried to be reached. As a result of the study; It has been concluded that the satisfaction of the tram service is statistically significant in terms of gender and income level.

Özet

Kentlerin nüfusu, eğitim imkânlarının artması, eğitim seviyelerinin yükselmesi ve iş olanaklarının artması gibi çeşitli sebeplerle sürekli olarak artış göstermektedir. Kent nüfusunun artmasının beraberinde getirdiği en büyük sorunlar ise gürültü kirliliği, hava kirliliği ve ulaşım sorunlarıdır. Ulaşım, özellikle yerel yönetimler tarafından çözülmesi gereken öncelikli sorunlardan biri olmakla birlikte bunun için raylı sistemler en iyi çözüm olarak değerlendirilmektedir. Bu çalışmanın amacı, Gaziantep kent içinde sunulan tramvay taşımacılığı hizmetinden memnuniyeti ölçmek ve demografik faktörlere göre kullanıcılar arasındaki farklılıkları araştırmaktır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda bir anket formu uygulanmış ve elde edilen veriler SPSS 23 istatistik paket programında analiz edilerek bulgulara ulaşılmaya çalışılmıştır. Çalışmada; sunulan tramvay hizmetinden memnuniyetin cinsiyete göre ve gelir düzeyine göre istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir şekilde farklılık gösterdiği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.
