A CONTRIBUTION TO THE HISTORY OF TURKISH CINEMA: THE THREE FILMS RELATED TO NATIONAL STRUGGLE IN HISTORICAL PERİOD

Abstract
The Cinema first appeared in Paris in 1895. It was seen in many countries in a short time. One of these countries was the Ottoman State. It was used as a propaganda tool in the First World War. Despite the pressures of the occupying states during the Armistice Period, studies on cinema continued. It became widespread after the proclamation of the Republic. Three films about the National Struggle were filmed in the process from the death of Atatürk. In this study, the National Struggle taken on at the beginning of the process and the Ataturk era of cinema in Turkey will be given about three films.
Özet
Sinema ilk olarak 1895’te Paris’te ortaya çıktı. Kısa sürede birçok ülkeye yayıldı. Bu ülkelerden biri de Osmanlı Devleti idi. Osmanlı Devleti’nde sinema ile ilgili çalışmalar II. Meşrutiyet’in ilanından sonra arttı. Birinci Dünya Savaşı’nda bir propaganda aracı olarak kullanıldı. Mütareke Dönemi’nde işgalci devletlerin baskılarına rağmen sinema ile ilgili çalışmalar devam etti. Cumhuriyet’in ilanından sonra iyice yaygınlaştı. Atatürk’ün ölümüne kadarki süreçte Milli Mücadele’yi anlatan üç film çekildi. Bu çalışmada Türkiye’de sinemanın başlangıç süreci ve Atatürk Dönemi’nde çekilen Milli Mücadele konulu üç film hakkında bilgi verilecektir.
