Abstract
In this study, students' consumption functions are estimated by using the data from the survey applied to the students of Kocaeli University in 2004. We examine whether sex factor and the programmes that the students are attending are effective or not on consumption behaviour. In addition to that Engel function of 9 different expenditure group which are included in students' comsumption (expenditure) budget are estimated.
Özet
Bu çalışmada, 2004 Yılında Kocaeli Üniversitesi öğrencilerine uygulanan anketten elde edilen veriler kullanılarak, öğrencilerin tüketim fonksiyonları tahmin edilmiştir. Cinsiyet faktörü ile öğrencilerin devam ettikleri programların tüketim davranışları üzerinde etkili olup olmadığı araştırılmıştır. Ayrıca, öğrencilerin tüketim (harcama) bütçesi içinde yer alan 9 ayrı harcama grubunun engel fonksiyonları tahmin edilmiştir
