Recycling of Cutting Fluids Used in Machining Process for Sustainable Production

Abstract
With the use of high cutting speeds and feed values for a high performance in machining and the aim of a good cutting performance as well, cutting fluids have gained importance. In recent years, it is known that cutting fluids, which are more widely used, increase the total cost of production and have an adverse effect on the environment as opposed to their contributions to the processing performance. Today, sustainable production is an approach that should be preferred, especially in terms of conservation of natural resources. In this study, the importance of selecting especially the recycleable cutting fluids for a sustainable production in machining has been emphasized. The maintenance, recycling and reuse phases of the cutting fluids have been explained in detail. Also, this study gives information about how to dispose nonrecycleable cutting fluids without damaging environment and human health.
Özet
Talaşlı üretim işlemlerinde yüksek verimlilik eldesi için yüksek kesme hızı ve ilerleme değerlerinin kullanılmaya başlanması ve bununla birlikte iyi bir kesme performansının amaçlanması, kesme sıvılarının önemini artırmıştır. Son yıllarda kullanımı hızla artan kesme sıvılarının işleme performansına olumlu katkılarına karşılık, toplam üretim maliyetini artırdığı ve çevreyi olumsuz etkilediği bilinmektedir. Günümüzde özellikle doğal kaynakların korunması açısından sürdürülebilir üretim tercih edilmesi gereken bir yaklaşımdır. Bu çalışmada, sürdürülebilir bir üretim için talaşlı imalatta kullanılan kesme sıvılarının geri dönüşümü mümkün olacak özellikte seçilmesinin önemi vurgulanmıştır. Kullanılan kesme sıvılarının bakımı, geri dönüşümü ve yeniden kullanılması safhaları ayrıntılı olarak anlatılmıştır. Ayrıca geri dönüşümü mümkün olmayan kesme sıvılarının çevreye ve insan sağlığına zarar vermeden nasıl imha edilmesi gerektiği hakkında bilgi verilmiştir.
