Death Due to Pulmonary Thromboembolism Formed After Hysterectomy

Abstract
Hysterectomy is the second most frequently performed operation after cesarean section by gynecologists. Thrombosis is called the adhesion of blood cells of the inner face of the vascular system, the broken pieces of the thrombus moved to block other vessels in the veins is called thromboembolism. In the pathophysiology of pulmonary embolism known as Virchow triad intimal damage, hypercoagulability and stasis component is known to play a role. In this publication we present a case died due to pulmonary embolism after hysterectomy
Özet
Histerektomi; sezeryan operasyonlarından sonra jinekolojinin en sık uygulanan ikinci operasyonudur. Vasküler sistemin iç yüzüne kan elemanlarının yapışarak tıkaçlar oluşturmasına trombüs, bu trombüsten kopan parçaların damarlar içinde taşınarak başka damarları tıkamasına tromboembolizm denir. Pulmoner embolinin patofizyolojisinde Virchow triadı olarak bilinen intimal hasar, hiperkogülabilite ve staz bileşenlerinin rol oynadığı bilinmektedir. Bu yayınımızda histerektomi sonrası pulmoner emboliye bağlı ex olan vaka sunulmaktadır.
