The Interaction Between Fiction Films and Documentaries in Post-2000 Political Cinema of Turkey: The Case Of Gelecek Uzun Sürer

2000 Sonrası Politik Türkiye Sinemasında Kurmaca-Belgesel Etkileşimi: Gelecek Uzun Sürer Filmi Örneği

Abstract

This study examines the relationship between the fictional-documentary interactive form that emerges in Turkish political cinema since 2000, and the nature of the political content. The way in which the interactive form is used in political films and for what purpose and the relationship of this form to the political content is evaluated specifically regarding to the film Gelecek Uzun Sürer (Alper, 2011). Role of “memory” as a concept, which is central in establishing the political background of the movie is discussed as well in the context of the relationship between form and content.

Özet

Çalışma, 2000 sonrasında politik Türkiye sinemasında belirginleşen kurmaca-belgesel etkileşimli formun, politik içerik ile olan ilişkisinin mahiyetini araştırmaya yöneliktir. Etkileşimli formun politik filmlerde ne şekilde ve ne amaçla kullanıldığı ve bu formun politik içerikle olan ilişkisi, Gelecek Uzun Sürer (Alper, 2011) filmi özelinde değerlendirilmiştir. Filmin politik artalanının oluşmasında merkezi öneme sahip olan “bellek” mefhumunun, biçim-içerik ilişkisi bağlamındaki rolü de film kapsamında ele alınmıştır.
