‘Etnografik Hikâyeler’in Hikâyesi ve Ötesi: Alan Deneyimini Paylaşmak Üzerine Bazı İlave Düşünceler

Abstract

In this article, we explain the preparation and publication process of the edited volume Etnografik Hikâyeler: Türkiye’de Alan Araştırması Deneyimleri (Metis, 2016) and find the opportunity to discuss some issues related to fieldwork experiences that we could not cover in the book. We address the researchers’ adaption to their field environment, their language competency, danger and security issues, emotional difficulties and research ethics with reference to the specific context of Turkey.

Özet

Bu yazıda derleme kitabı Etnografik Hikâyeler: Türkiye’de Alan Araştırması Deneyimleri’nin (Metis, 2016) editörleri olarak kitabın yayımlanma sürecini anlatıyor ve kitapta detaylı olarak yer veremediğimiz, deneyime ilişkin bazı konuları tartışma imkânı buluyoruz. Alanda araştırmacıların yaşadığı uyum sorunları, dil yeterliliği, tehlike ve güvenlik konuları, duygusal zorluklar ve araştırma etiğini Türkiye bağlamını göz önünde bulundurarak ele alıyoruz.
