Capital Utilization Levels of Entrepreneurs in the Establishment Phase: The Case of Gaziantep

Abstract
The main purpose of this study is to determine the priorities in the types of capital used by entrepreneurs in the establishment phase of Gaziantep. At this point, there are differences in terms of the entrepreneurs operating in Gaziantep. In order to detect these differences, various variables were included in the study and the subject of the study was examined in the light of these variables.The socio/demographic characteristics of entrepreneurs and the structural differences in the nature of entrepreneur types can be decisive in the types and priorities of the capital used. In this article, sectoral definitions of entrepreneurship are made and then capital types and literature summaries are given. The sample of the study consists of 459 entrepreneurs who registered to Gaziantep Chamber of Industry and Gaziantep Chamber of Commerce in 2015 and beyond. Questionnaires were applied to four types of entrepreneurs selected by random stratified sampling method and Kruskal-Wallis Test and Mann-Whitney Test were applied to the obtained data.
Özet
Bu çalışmanın temel amacı, girişimcilerin kuruluş aşamasında kullandığı sermaye türlerindeki önceliklerin Gaziantep İli kapsamında tespit edilmesidir. Bu noktada Gaziantep İlinde faaliyet gösteren girişimciler arasında çeşitli açılardan farklılıklar bulunmaktadır. Bu farklılıkları tespit edebilmek için çalışmada çeşitli değişkenlere yer verilmiş ve çalışma konusu bu değişkenler ışığında incelenmiştir.Girişimcilerin sahip olduğu sosyo/demografik özellikler ile girişimci türlerinin doğasındaki yapısal farklılıklar, kullanılan sermaye türlerinde ve önceliklerinde belirleyici olabilmektedir. Makalede girişimciliğin sektörel tanımları yapılmış, ardından sermaye türlerine ve literatür özetlerine yer verilmiştir. Araştırma örneklemini, 2015 ve sonraki yıllarda Gaziantep Sanayi Odasına ve Gaziantep Ticaret Odasına kayıt yaptıran 459 girişimci oluşturmaktadır. Sektörlere göre tesadüfi tabakalı örnekleme yöntemiyle seçilen dört tür girişimciye anket uygulanmış ve elde edilen verilere Kruskal-Wallis Testi ve Mann-Whitney Testi uygulanmıştır.
