STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT PRACTICES IN AZERBAIJAN: AN EXAMPLE OF A CENTRAL BANK

Abstract

Strategic Management Practices in Azerbaijan and its implementation constitutes the subject of research. This research aimed to examine the functioning of Azerbaijan companies, their characteristics, their contribution to management and their effect on firm performance considering the strategic management application. To achieve these objectives, the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan was selected and examined. The data were obtained by certain methods and related information is given in the paper. At the same time, the problems encountered in the implementation process in the inmstitution, the factors causing these problems and the methods used to overcome these obstacles were also mentioned in the research. As a result of the research, it is tried to determine the process through which the Strategic Management Applications in the country are realized and to determine the importance level of the advantages provided to the companies.

Özet

Stratejik Yönetim Uygulamalarının Azerbaycan’da işleyiş biçimi ve hangi düzeyde gerçekleştirilmesi araştırmanın konusunu oluşturmaktadır. Bu araştırma Azerbaycan’da faaliyet gösteren şirketlerde Stratejik Yönetim uygulamalarını ele alarak, işleyiş şeklini, sağladığı özellikleri, yönetime katkılarını ve firma performansına etkisini incelemeye amaçlamıştır. Bu amaçlara ulaşabilmek için Azerbaycan Cumhuriyeti Merkez Bankası seçilerek incelenmiş, veriler belirli yöntemlerle elde edilmiş ve gerekli bilgiler araştırmada yer almıştır. Aynı zamanda şirketteki bu uygulama sürecinde ortaya çıkan sorunlar, bu sorunlara neden olan faktörler ve bu engelleri aşmak için kullanılan yöntemler de araştırmada belirtilmiştir. Yapılan araştırma sonucunda, ülkedeki Stratejik Yönetim Uygulamalarının hangi süreçlerden geçerek gerçekleştirilmesi ve şirketlere sağladığı avantajların önemlilik derecesi belirlenmeye çalışılacaktır.
