Meat Yield and Proximate Composition of Rainbow Trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) Harvesting from Different Aquaculture Systems

Abstract
In this study, body characteristics of rainbow trouts (Oncorhynchus mykiss) which were reared in net cage and concrete raceway in the months of June and July, were determined in terms of condition factor, meat yield and proximate composition in a harvest period. Condition factors were calculated as 1.03 - 1.03 and 1.05 - 1.05 for rainbow trouts which were reared in concrete raceways and net cages in June – July, respectively. Meat yields were found as 61.37% - 62.68% and 61.54% - 62.81%, respectively. Crude protein, crude lipid, crude ash and dry matter were found for concrete raceways specimens as 19.97% - 20.47%; 2.25% - 2.08%; 1.32% - 1.39% and 23.76% - 24.20% respectively, while for net cages specimens as 20.50% - 20.63% ; 2.17% - 2.02% ; 1.38% -1.38% and 24.17% - 23.44%, respectively. As a result, there were no significantly differences between harvesting rainbow trouts in terms of condition factor, meat yield and proximate composition.

Bu çalışmada, beton havuz ve ağ kafes sistemlerinden Haziran ve Temmuz aylarında hasadı yapılan gökkuşağı alabalıklarının (Oncorhynchus mykiss) kondisyon faktörleri, et verimi ve besin kompozisyonları özellikleri tespit edilmiştir. Kondisyon faktörüne ilişkin elde edilen ortalama değerler beton havuzlarda sırasıyla Haziran ve Temmuz için 1,03 ve 1,03 iken, ağ kafeslerde sırasıyla 1,05 ve 1,05 olarak saptanmıştır. Beton havuzlarda yetiştiriciliği yapılan gökkuşağı alabalıklarında et verimleri %61,37 - 62,68, ağ kafeslerde ise %61,54 - 62,81 arasında tespit edilmiştir. Beton havuzlardan alınan örneklerde ham protein, ham yağ, ham kül ve kuru madde oranları sırasıyla %19,97 - 20,47; %2,25 - 2,08; %1,32 - 1,39 ve %23,76 - 24,20 olarak bulunurken, ağ kafeslerden alınan örneklerde sırasıyla %20,50 - 20,63; %2,17 - 2,02; %1,38 - 1,38 ve %24,17 - 23,44 olarak tespit edilmiştir. Sonuç olarak, bu çalışmada hasat edilen gökkuşağı alabalıklarında kondisyon faktörü, et verimi ve besin kompozisyonları açısından önemli bir farklılığın olmadığı görülmüştür.
