Critical Success Factors In Organizational Development

Abstract

Organizations move towards specific goals from the moment they are established and they try to preserve their presence to the extent they have reached these goals. In order to achieve the stated goals, it is necessary to counter the threats that may occur both inside and outside the environment and to evaluate the opportunities that are in front of them. From this point, it should adapt to the rapidly changing environment. So as to maintain balance and stability against intense developments, it must become flexible structures that can adapt to change. In these structures, it directs organizations to "development" efforts and naturally, the concept of "organization development" emerges with change. Organizational development that works to respond to change, capture and manage change needs to have certain criteria in order to be successful in these activities. In this study, firstly, the concept of organization development will be mentioned after, about how the organization development activity will emerge will be informed and in the end, success criteria for organizational development will be explained.

Özet

Örgütler kurulduğu andan itibaren belirli amaçlar doğrultusunda hareket ederler ve bu amaçlara ulaştığı ölçüde varlığını korumaya çalışırlar. Belirtilen amaçlara ulaşmak için de hem iç çevresinde hem de dış çevresinde meydana gelebilecek tehditlere karşı koymak, önüne çıkan fırsatları değerlendirmesi gerekmektedir. Bu noktadan hareketle hızla değişen çevreye adapte olmalıdır. Yoğun gelişmeler karşısında dengeyi ve istikrarı koruması için değişime uyum sağlayabilecek tarzda esnek yapılar haline gelmelidir. Bu yapılar da örgütleri “geliştirme” çabalarına yönlendirmekte doğal olarak da “örgüt geliştirme” kavramı değişimle beraber ortaya çıkmaktadır. Değişime cevap verme, değişimi yakalama ve yönetmeye çalışan örgüt geliştirme bu faaliyetlerinde başarılı olabilmesi için de bazı kriterlere sahip olması gerekmektedir. Bu çalışma da, öncelikle örgüt geliştirme kavramından bahsedilecek sonrasında örgüt geliştirme faaliyetinin nasıl ortaya çıkacağına dair bilgi verilecek, en sonunda ise örgüt geliştirmeye yönelik başarı kriterleri açıklanacaktır.
