THE EFFECTS OF SOME ANTHELMINTICS AGAINST HYMENOLEPIS NANA IN MICE

Abstract
In this study, the effects of albendazole, niclosamide and febantel were investigated naturally infected mice with Hymenolepis nana. The examination of the feces in mice was performed by Fulleborm Flotation Technique. The infected mice were separated five treatments and one untreated control group having nine animals each. Albendazole ( 40 mg/kg)fabentel ( 6 mg/kg) and niclosamide (25, 40, 50 mg/kg) were separately added into the mixture of 1000 gr. feed + 600 ml distilled water+ 20 gr. gum arabique. Each dose mixture was given the mice for five days. The mice of control group were fed with unmedicated feed in same period. The mice of treated and untreated groups were autopsied on 7 days after the last treatment. The intestines were opened and the parasites were couiıted . Febantel (6 mg/kg) and albendazole (40 mg/kg) were found to be effective 50.82% and 100% at the treatment of H. nana infection in mice, respectively. While the doses of 25 mg/kg(% 74.89) and 40 mg/kg(% 69.70) of niclosamide were not effected to be demanded level, the dose as 50 mg/kg of niclosamide was determined to be effective 100 % at the treatment of H. nana infection in mice.
Özet
Bu çalışmada Hymenolepis nana ile doğal enfekte farelerde albendazole, niclosamide ve febantel'in etkileri incelenmiştir. Farelerin dışkı kontrolleri Füllebom flotasyon yöntemi ile yapılmıştır. Enfekte fareler 9 ar hayvanlık 5 sağaltım 1 kontrol grubu olarak ayrılmıştır. Albendazole 40 mg/kg, febantel 6 mg/kg ve ni dosarnide 25, 40, 50 mg/kg (ayrı ayrı olacak şekilde) dozda 1000 gr yem+ 20 gr arap zamkı + 600 ml distile su karışırnma katılmıştır. Bu ilaçlı karışım farelere 5 gün süreyle verilmiştir . Kontrol grubu fareler ilaçsız yem ile aynı süre beslenmişlerdir. ı Son sağaltım gününü izleyen 7. günde kontrol ve sağaltı m grubu farelerin otopsileri birlikte yapılmış ve bağırsaklar açılarak parazİtler sayılmıştır. Farelerde H.nana sağaltımında febantel in 6 mg/kg dozda% 50.82, albendazole'ün 40 mg/kg dozda% 100 tesirli olduğu görülmüştür. Niclosamide 25 mg/kg(% 74.89) ve 40 mg/kg(% 69 .70) dozlarda istenilen düzeyde etkili bulunmamış, 50 mg/kg dozda ise % 100 sağaltıcı olduğu saptanmıştır.
