Özet
Giriş: Ergenlik depresyonu psikososyal sorunlar ve kimlik bunalımları ile ilişkilidir ve tekrarlama riski yüksektir. Amaç: Buaraştırma ilköğretim ikinci kademe öğrencilerinde depresyon ve etkileyen faktörlerin incelenmesi amacıyla yapılmıştır.Yöntem: Araştırmanın örneklemini 7 ilköğretim okulundan basit rastgele örneklem yöntemiyle seçilen 696 öğrencioluşturmuştur. Veriler araştırmacılar tarafından oluşturulan anket formu ve Çocuklar İçin Depresyon Ölçeği (ÇDÖ) iletoplanmıştır. Bulgular: Öğrencilerin ÇDÖ puan ortalamalarının 11.826.70 olduğu belirlenmiş ve %17.4’ünde depresyonbulunmuştur. Öğrencilerin bazı tanıtıcı özellikleri, okul yaşantıları, ergenlerin ailesel özellikleri, arkadaşlık kurma veduygularını ifade etme durumları, sigara içme ve sağlık durumları gibi birçok etkenin öğrencilerin depresyon düzeylerinietkilediği belirlenmiştir (p = .014, p = .004, p = .002, p = .001). Sonuç: Riskli grupta yer alan öğrencilerin ruhsal açıdan dahadikkatli değerlendirilmesi, ergenlere ve ailelerine bu döneme özgü ruhsal değişikliklerle ilgili bilgi verilmesi ve okul-sağlıkkuruluşu-aile arasında olumlu, yapıcı, destekleyici ilişkiler kurulması önerilebilir
Abstract
Background: Adolescence depression is associated with psychosocial problems and identity crises and, has a high risk of recurrence. Objectives: This research was conducted to examine depression in second level elementary students and the factors which affect it. Methods: Study sample consisted of 7 primary schools which are selected with a simple randomly 696 students. The data were collected with the survey created by the researchers and the Children Depression Inventory (CDI). Results: 17.4% of the students' cases depression was found and CDI scores were determined 11.82 ± 6.70. Many factors such as some descriptive characteristics of the students, school experiences, family characteristics of adolescents, express the feelings and friendship-building situations, smoking and health status affect students' levels of depression (p = .014, p = .004, p = .002, p = .001). Conclusion: It is suggested that more careful evaluation of the students in the spiritually-risk group, providing information to adolescents and their families on changes in psychological characteristics of this period, establish positive, constructive, supportive relationships between school- health care provider-family
