Abstract
In this article we dealt with the opininons about the Prophet of three different authors who have religious and political views. It is understood of their views that, the texts, in the first periods, include only slurs and insults, replaced with the texts in which we can clearlly see the Prophet’s respected personality partially. In spite of the goodwill enterprises that made about the description of Prophet, the complexity in the subject about the description of the Prophet continous and it is understood that it will also continue in long terms.

Bu makalede, Batılı farklı dinî-siyasî görüşlere sahip üç araştırmacının, Hz. Peygamber hakkındaki görüşlerini ele aldık. Onların bu görüşlerinden de ortaya çıkmaktadır ki, ilk dönemlerdeki sadece iftira ve hakaretler içeren metinlerin yerini, kısmî de olsa Peygamber’in saygı duyulan bir kişilik olarak kabulünün daha net görülmeye başlandığı metinler almıştır. Peygamber’i tanımlama konusunda yapılan iyi niyetli girişimlere rağmen, Hz. Peygamber’i tanımlama konusunda Batıdaki karmaşa devam etmektedir ve anlaşılan o ki, bu karmaşa daha uzun yıllar devam edecektir.
