Abstract

Objective: To compare the effectiveness of radiofrequencythermal ablation with those of microdebrider-assistedturbinoplasty, we designed a prospective, randomizedclinical study.Methods: Forty patients suffering from nasal obstructiondue to bilateral inferior turbinate hypertrophy wereenrolled. Half of the patients were operated by radiofrequencythermal ablation, while the other half underwentmicrodebrider-assisted turbinoplasty. Amaç: Radyofrekans termal ablasyon ve mikrodebrider ile gerçekleştirilen türbinoplasti yöntemlerinin etkinliğini karşılaştırmak için prospektif, randomize klinik bir çalışma planladık. Yöntemler: Bilateral alt konka hipertrofisine bağ- lı burun tıkanıklığı yakınması olan kırk hasta çalış- maya dahil edildi. Hastaların yarısına radyofrekans termal ablasyon diğer yarısına ise mikrodebrider ile türbinoplasti uygulandı.
