Abstract
Purpose: Our study was planed to determine the HLA class I and class II antigens distribu-tion in cases with keratoconus and whether were locuses related to disease. Method: HLA antigen typing was performed by the method of complement dependant microlenfotoxicity to 19 keratoconus patients and 179 controls at Atatürk University, Faculty of Medicine, Department of Ophthalmology. The data were analyzed according to Fisher's exact (Khi square) test. Results: The distribution of HLA class I (A,B,Q was analyzed and HLA B7 was 7,3% in control and 21,1% in keratoconus patients (p

Amaç: Çalışmamız keratokonuslu olgularda Klas I ve Klas II HLA antijenlerinin dağılımı-nı tespit etmek ve hastalıkla bağlantılı bir lokus olup olmadığını araştırmak amacıyla planlandı. Gereç ve Yöntem: Atatürk Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Göz Hastalıkları Anabilim Dalında takip edilen 19 keratokonus olgusu ile 179 kontrol grubunu oluşturan kişilerin hepsine Komple-man bağımlı Mikrolenfbtoksisite yöntemiyle HLA Klas I (A;B;C) ve Klas II (DR) antijen tiplendirmesi yapıldı. Elde edilen sonuçlar Fisher'in exact (Ki Kare) testiyle analiz edildi. Bulgular: Grupların HLA Klass I antijen dağılım incelendiğinde HLA B7 kontrol grubu-da %7,3 hasta grubunda %21,1 oranında idi ve aradaki fark istatiksel olarak marjinal düzeyde önemli bulundu (p
