Mesane kanserinde inducible nitrik oksit expresyonu

Abstract

Recently it has been shown that nitric oxide (NO) has an important role in the solid tumor growth and invasion. in this article we evaluated inducible nitric oxide synthase iNOS expression in the superficial and muscle invasive transitional cell carcinoma of the bladder. Tissue sections procured from 30 patients with bladder cancer, 20 superficial and 10 muscle invasive, were studied immunohistochemically and results compared with each other and adjacent normal tissue to the tumor The expression of iNOS was positive in all sections from patients with bladder carcinoma. There was no significant difference between superficial and muscle invasive cancer in terms of iNOS positivity, but there was clear relationship between iNOS immunoreactivity and tumor grade. iNOS expression was detected uniformly negative in the peritumoral histologically normal mucosa the superficial and invasive cancer. Selective iNOS expres-sion in the bladder cancer suggest that iNOS expression may be used as an immunohistochemical marker, this find-ing also lead to us iNOS may play a significant role in tumor growth and the differentiation.

Son zamanlarda nitrik oksitin (NO) solit tümör büyümesi ve invazyonunda önemli rolü olduğu gösterilmiştir. Bu makalede yüzeyel ve invaziv transizyonel hücreli mesane kanserinde inducible nitrik oksit sentetaz (İNOS) expresyonunu değerlendirdik. Otuz mesane kanserli (20 yüzeyel, 10 kas invazyonu olan) hastadan elde edilen doku kesitleri immünhistokimyasal olarak çalışıldı ve sonuçlar birbirleriyle ve tümöre komşu normal dokularla karşılaştırıldı. Mesane kanserli hastalara ait tüm kesitlerde İNOS expresyonu pozitifti. İNOS pozitifliği yönünden yüzeyel ve kas invazyonu olan kanserlerde anlamlı bir fark yoktu, fakat İNOS expresyonu immünorelativitesi ile tümör greydi arasında belirgin bir ilişki vardı. İNOS expresyonu peritumoral histolojik olarak normal yüzeyel ve invaziv kanserlerde uniform olarak negatif olarak bulundu. Mesane kanserinde selektif İNOS expresyonu İNOS expresyonunun immünhistokimyasal bir markır olarak kullanılabileceğini düşündürür. Bu bulgu aynı zamanda bize İNOS expresyonunun tümör büyümesi ve diferansiyasyonunda önemli bir rolü olabileceğini düşündürmektedir.
