Future Of Composıte Materıals In Aerospace and Defence Industry

Abstract

Composite material technologies provide materials which have high specific strength and are lightweight for aerospace and defence industry. Countries planning to continue competition in aerospace and defence industry have to monitor technological developments and changes in maturity levels of composite materials closely. In this work, position of aerospace and defence industy in composite materials market is found by searching literature. In addition, effects of Vision 2023 Defence Aerospace and Space Industry Panel report on aerospace and defence industry is investigated. The masters theseis and projects conducted in Turkey are examined from open sources and summarized. The developing composite material technologies to be used in aerospace and defence industry in the future are evaluated and a novel technology evaluation method is introduced

Özet

Kompozit malzeme teknolojileri havacılık ve savunma sektörüne yüksek özgül mukavemete sahip hafif malzemeler sağlamaktadırlar. Havacılık ve savunma sektöründe rekabete devam etmeyi planlayan ülkeler, kompozit malzeme teknolojilerinde meydana gelen gelişmeleri ve olgunluk düzeylerindeki değişmeleri yakından izlemelidirler. Bu çalışmada, havacılık ve savunma sanayinin, kompozit malzeme pazarındaki konumu literatürden araştırılmıştır. Ayrıca, Vizyon 2023 Savunma Havacılık ve Uzay Sanayii Paneli Raporu'nun havacılık ve savunma sektörü üzerindeki etkileri incelenmiştir. Ülkemizde kompozit malzemeler konusunda yapılan tez ve proje çalışmaları açık kaynaklardan araştırılarak özetlenmiştir. Gelecekte havacılık ve savunma sektöründe kullanılması muhtemel, gelişme aşamasında olan kompozit malzeme teknolojileri değerlendirilmiş ve teknolojik olgunluğun belirlenmesine yönelik özgün bir teknoloji değerlendirme yöntemi ortaya konulmuştur
