The Effect of Antenatal Education Class on The Type of Delivery

Abstract

INTRODUCTION: To detect the type of delivery of pregnant women rather attending or not attending antenatal class education and to determine the effect of antenatal class education on type of birth. METHODS: In our research, 145 participants of antenatal education class and 235 non-participants were searched retrospectively between January 2018 and June 2020. RESULTS: The mean age of 145 antenatal education participants and 235 non-participants were found 28,99±5,39 and 27,81±4,36 respectively. In the research, while antenatally educated group delivered 60%vaginally, non-educated group gave birth 41,7% vaginally. GİRİŞ ve AMAÇ: Gebe bilgilendirme sinifi eğitimi alan ve almayan gebelerin doğum şeklini ve gebe bilgilendirme sinifinin doğum şekline etkisini belirlemek. YÖNTEM ve GEREÇLER: Araştirmamizda, Ocak 2018 ve Haziran 2020 yillari arasinda Demirci İlçesi Gebe Bilgilendirme Sinifi eğitimi almiş olan 145 gebe ile gebe bilgilendirme sinifi eğitimi almamiş 235 gebenin bilgileri retrospektif olarak tarandi BULGULAR: Gebe Bilgilendirme Sinifinda eğitim almiş olan 145 gebenin yaş ortalamasinin 28,99±5,39, eğitim almamiş 235 gebenin yaş ortalamasinin 27,81±4,36 olduğu saptandi. %60’inin, eğitim almamiş olan grupta bulunan gebelerin %41,7’sinin normal doğum yaptiği saptandi.
