Abstract

Background: In recent years, the need for hospital beds hasbeen continuously increasing due to the requirements of thegrowing healthcare sector and rising service quality; as such, theneed for intensive care unit beds is also increasing. Consequent- ly, it is important to evaluate the use of intensive care unit bedsso as to maximize efficacy in the circulation of patients. In thisstudy, we aimed to retrospectively evaluate the frequently-usedAPACHE II system in the prediction of mechanic ventilation needsand mortality in different patient groups. Amaç: Son yıllarda yoğun bakım ünitesi yatak sayıları artmışolsada artan hizmet kalitesi ve gelişen sağlık hizmetleri nede- niyle yatak ihtiyacı da her geçen gün artmaktadır. Bu neden- le hasta sirkülasyonu için yoğun bakım yataklarının efektifkullanımı oldukça önemlidir.
