Abstract
Relying on Ottoman archival records, this study examines the rights and responsibilities of the Ottoman male civilian teachers in the Rusdiye, secondary schools, and argues that employment as a rushdiye school teachers required merit and hard work
Özet
Bu çalışmada Osmanlı erkek mülki rüşdiye mekteplerinde görev alan muallimlerin sahip oldukları özellikler ile hak ve sorumlulukları, arşiv belgeleri ışığında çeşitli örneklerle detaylandırılarak, bir erkek rüşdiye muallimi olabilmek için çok bir liyakate sahip olunması gerektiği ve öğretmenlerin zorlu şartlarda çalıştıkları ayrıntılı olarak ortaya konulmuştur
