In vivo and in vitro investigations of cellular immunity with natural provocation in pollen-allergic children

Abstract

In this study, in order to investigate the changes of celluler immunity with natural provocation in pollen-allergic patients, IgE, CD3+, CD4+, CD8+ lymphocy¬te percentage, lymphocyte transformation and dela¬yed type skin tests in and out of pollen season in 15 pollen allergic patients has been determined. Based on the results that IgE was increased in the pollen season and the other parameters were not changed. It was suggested that worsening of clinical situation in pollen season was not related the function of T-lymphocyte in peripheral blood.

Özet

Bu çalışma, polen allerjisi olan hastaların doğal pro¬vokasyonla hücresel immünitelerindeki değişiklikleri araştırmak amacıyla yapılmıştır. Polen allerjisi olan 15 hastada polen mevsiminde ve mevsim dışında IgE, CD3+, CD4+, CD8+ lenfosit yüzdesi, lenfosit transformasyonu ve geç tip deri testleri değerlendiril¬miştir. Sonuçlar değerlendirildiğinde IgE'de polen mevsiminde artış olurken, diğer parametrelerde de¬ğişme görülmemiştir. Bu sonuçlara göre, polen allerji¬si olanlarda polen mevsimindeki klinik tablonun kötüleştiği dönemlerde periferik kanda T lenfosit fonksiyonlarında belirgin bir değişiklik olmadığı kanı-sınavarılmıştır.
