The Use of the East Black Sea Coastal Plaser as Black Pigment in Oil Paint

Özet

Bu çalışmada Doğu Karadeniz’den toplanan ve içerisinde fazla miktarda magnetit (Fe3O4) bulunduran sahil plaser konsantre hale getirildi ve öğütülerek tanecil büyüklüğü 45 mikronun altına düşürüldü. Öğütülen sahil plaseri siyah pigment olarak yağlı boya yapımında kullanıldı. Üretilen boyanın; % katı muhtevası, viskozit (KU/25 oC), yoğunluk (g/cm3), parlaklık, sertli (konig), ezilme (NS), kuruma (saat) ve doğa şartlarına dayanıklılık testleri yapıldı. Sonuçlar ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials) standart değerleri ile karşılaştırıldı

Abstract

In this study, coastal plasers which containing major amount of magnetit (Fe3O4) and collected from East black sea were concentrated and fine powder for to do size of the sample less than 45 microns. The powder plasers were used as black pigment in oily paint. The quality of the product was carried out by measurement of the nonvolatile content (solid %), consistency of paint (KU/25 oC), density of paint (g/cm3), specular gloss, hardness (Konig), fineness of dispersion of pigment (NS) drying, curing or film formation (hours) and durability in nature conditions tests. The results obtained were compared to ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials) standards.
