Abstract

"Perception of Patriotism" an Investigation in Kyrgyzstan Abstract: Modern day the people of Kyrgyzstan are living in a rapidly changing and transformation process. Social values in this process are also observed to have deteriora- tion. Awareness of democracy in the country is in case of crawling yet, giving rise to the emergence of selfishness and individuality to the fore, has weakened sacrifice, patriotism etc. Thus the "patriotic" feeling begins to be perceived as primitive. Durkheim's anomie, as he conceptualizes this case, constitutes a threat to the future of the country. In the study "patriotism" and "patriot" concepts are analyzed as what was meant by these in Kyrgyzstan and we aim to seek answers. The study was performed with the support of the Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University.

Özet: Günümüz Kırgızistan halkı, süratli bir şekilde değişim ve dönüşüm sürecini yaşamaktadır. Bu süreçte toplumsal değerlerin de alabildiğince yıprandığı müşahede edilmektedir. Ülkede henüz emekleme durumundaki demokrasi bilinci, bencillik ve bi- reyselliğin ön plana çıkmasına sebebiyet vererek fedakârlık, vatanseverlik vb. erdemle- ri zayıflatmıştır. Böylece vatanseverlik duygusu ilkellik olarak algılanmaya başladı. Durkheimin anomi diye kavramlaştırdığı bu durum, ülkenin geleceğine yönelik bir tehdit oluşturmaktadır. Çalışmada "Vatanseverlik" ve "vatansever" kavramlarından neyin kas- tedildiği, sorusuna Kırgızistan örneğinden hareketle cevaplar aramayı amaçladık.
