'Turkish Revolution Courses' in Turkish Universities: a short history

Abstract
This paper examis the present day course "Atatürk Principles andRevolution History" that has been being taught at all the departments ofthe universities in Turkey since 1934. We tried to shed light on why thecourse started and what kind of progress it went through within the historical background.

Bu yazıda, Türkiye'deki üniversitelerin tüm bölümlerinde 1934'ten berizorunlu olarak okutulan, şimdiki adıyla "Atatürk İlkeleri ve İnkılâp Tarihi" derslerinin hangi nedenlerle, nasıl başladığı ve bugüne kadar nasıl birseyir izlediği konuları tarihsel arka planda açıklanmaya çalışılmaktadır.
