The evaulation of the financial performances of the food enterprises traded on bist with topsis method

Abstract
Decision making process, that can be defined as selecting the best among the alternativesclassified according to the specifi c circumstances, is measurement tool with the embodiment multi -criteria methods applied for the evaulation of the financial performance of enterprises at the presentday. In this study, it is aimed that the evaulation of the financial performance of the food sector, one ofthe sectors that are observed effects of global financial crisis in the year of 2008. It is used 10financial ratios which are obtained from financial statements in the financial years of 2009- 2012 of20 food enterprises, traded on BIST, food, beverage and tobacco sector. The data obtained isevaulated thanks to TOPSIS that is one of the multi- criteria decision making methods. Consequently, after the 2008 global financial crisis, in consideration of the term under survey, there is no enterprisesthat show the best financial performance successively in all years .
Özet
Belirli koşullara göre sınıflandırılan alternatifler arasından en iyisinin seçilmesi olaraktanımlanabilecek karar verme süreci, bünyesinde barındırdığı çok kriterli yöntemlerle günümüzdeişletmelerin finansal performanslarının değerlendirilmesi amacıyla da başvurulan bir ölçüm aracıdır.2008 yılı küresel finansal krizinin etkilerinin gözlendiği sektörlerden biri olan gıda sektörününfinansal performans ölçümünün amaçlandığı bu çalışmada Borsa İstanbul (BIST) gıda, içki ve tütünsektöründe işlem gören 20 gıda işletmesinin 2009- 2012 mali yıllarına ait finansal tablolarından eldeedilen 10 finansal oran kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen veriler Çok Kriterli Karar Verme (ÇKKV)yöntemlerinden olan TOPSIS (Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution)yardımıyla değerlendirilmiştir. Sonuç olarak 2008 küresel finansal kriz sonrasında işletmelerinfinansal performanslarına bakıldığında incelenen dönem itibariyle üst üste tüm yıllarda en iyiperformansı gösteren bir işletmenin olmadığı ortaya çıkmıştır.
