Abstract

The aim of this study was to compare the effects of rocuronium on intraocular pressure (IOP), mean arterial blood pressure (MBP) and heart rate (HR) in 120 pediatric patients, aged 2-6 yr, during propofol or halothane anaesthesia. The patients were classified randomly into four groups. Anaesthesia was induced and maintained with halothane in halothane-control (Group HC, n=30) and halothane-rocuronium groups (Group HR, n=30) with propofol in propofol-control (Group PC, n=30) and propofol-rocuronium groups (Group PR, n=30). Following controlled ventilatation with a face mask when pupils were centralized, constricted and fixed, IOP was measured with a Schöltz tonometer and recorded as a reference value. In control groups 2 mL saline, in rocuronium groups 0.6 mg/kg, rocuronium were administered intravenousely. In 30th, 90th, 150th 210th and 270th seconds IOP, MBP and HR values were recorded. Çalışmamızda 2-6 yaş arasındaki 120 hastada, propofol infüzyonu veya halotan anestezisi sırasında rokuronyum uygulamasının göz içi basıncına (GİB), ortalama arter kan basıncı (OAB) ve kalp atım hızına (KAH) etkilerinin incelenmesi amaçlandı. Midazolam ile sedasyondan sonra hastalar rasgele dört gruba ayrıldı. Anestezi indüksiyonu ve idamesi halotan gruplarında halotan; propofol gruplarında ise propofol ile gerçekleştirildi. Indüksiyondan sonra pupillaları sabit, miyotik ve orta hat durumuna gelen olguların Schöltz tonometresi ile kontrol GİB ölçümleri yapıldı. Propofol-kontrol ve halotan-kontrol gruplarında (Grup PK, n=30; Grup HK, n=30) 2 mL, İV serum fizyojik (SF); propofol-rokuronyum ve halotan-rokuronyum (Grup PR, n=30; Grup HR, n=30) gruplarında 0.6 mg/kg, İV rokuronyum uygulandı.
