Abstract

The incidence of injection pain of rocuronium is rather high. In this study, we aimed to evaluate that the effects of pretreatment with IV 30 mg lidocaine on the incidence of injection pain of rocuronium. ASA class I or II, 60 patients were allocated to study, double blinded and randomised manner. Saline (1.5 mL) was administered to control group and 30 mg 2 % lidocaine (1.5 mL) was administered to lidocaine group patients. After a 22- gauge cannula was placed to one of the vein on the dorsum of the hand without the use of local anaesthesia, 0.9 % saline was infused. All of the syringes (as 1.5 mL) were prepared and numbered by another investigator. After the numbered syringes was injected by an investigator, another investigator was suppressed on drainage area of IV cannula over 20 seconds. After this, rocuronium was injected 1/3 doses of intubating (0.6 mg/kg), at room temperature. Severity of injection pain was evaluated during the injection period. Rokuronyum enjeksiyonuna bağlı ağrı insidansı oldukça yüksektir. Bu çalışmada 30 mg lidokain ön uygulamasının rokuronyum enjeksiyon ağrısı insidansına etkisini değerlendirmeyi amaçladık. ASA I-II grubu, 60 olgu çift kör, rasgele bir şekilde çalışmaya alındı. Kontrol grubu olgulara (n=30) serum fizyolojik 1.5 mL, lidokain grubu olgulara (n=30) İV 30 mg 2 % lidokain 1.5 mL uygulandı. El sırtındaki venalardan birine, lokal anestezik kullanmadan 20G IV kanül yerleştirildikten sonra, % 0.9'luk serum fizyolojik infüze edildi. Tüm enjektörler başka bir araş-tırmacı tarafından 1.5 mL olarak hazırlandı ve numaralandı. Numaralı enjektörler biri tarafından uygulandıktan sonra, başka bir araştırmacı tarafından IV kanülün drenaj alanına parmakla 20 saniye süreli bası uygulandı.
