Treatment in the allergic conjunctivitis

Abstract

Content : Seasonal and perennial allergic conjunctivitis are an acute. type 1 immediate hypersensitivity response that may develop within minutes after exposure to the allergen. The best management of allergic conjunctivitis involves identifying the culprit antigen and avoiding exposure. but in practice this is not always possible. because many of the antigens are airborne. Consequently. many patients with allergic conjunctivitis require some form of treatment for the relief of ocular signs and symptoms. In this article. recently used antiallergic treatment strategies and treatment areas were eveluated.

Mevsimsel ve yıl boyu süren allerjik konjonktivit akut tip 1 hipersensitivite reaksiyonu olup allerjenle temastan dakikalar sonra oluşur. Allerjik konjonktivitin en iyi tedavisi allerjen tespit edilerek hastanın allerjenden uzaklaştırılmasıdır. Fakat pratikte bu daima mümkün değildir, çünkü birçok antijen havada devamlı uçuşmaktadır. Sonuçta allerjik konjonktivitli birçok hasta oküler belirti ve bulguları gidermek için bazı tedavi türlerine ihtiyaç duyar. Bu makalede günümüzde kullanılan antiallerjik tedavi seçenekleri ve kullanım alanları irdelenmiştir.
