Abstract
After the 1917 October Revolution, an independent state named Turkestan Autonomy State was established by the intellectuals of Turkestan based on national values, beliefs, law and democratic principles. The national army of this state was established in a short time by the government of the Turkestan Autonomy; its flag was raised, its national anthem was accepted, its national currency was printed and its constitution was prepared. Turkish military officers and politicians had a great contribution to the foundation of this state. However, the Turkestan Autonomy State was destroyed by the Bolshevik government. The Jadidist intellectuals of Turkestan who did not want to continue their life in captivity started the biggest armed struggle movement in the history of the country under the name of Turkestan National Independence Movement in order to save their homeland from the Bolshevik colony by using force. Many military officers from Turkey, mainly including Enver Pasha, attended this struggle, and together with the mujahids of Turkestan, they killed and died for the freedom of Turkestan. All these historical events are reflected in the Uzbek Jadid Poetry. Jadidist poets such as Çolpan, Hamza, Fıtrat, Batu, Elbek, Kâmî, Sıdkıy..etc depicted the events of the period with all details in their poems, sometimes with great joy, sometimes with a sad and angry language. In this context, in the period after the Bolshevik Revolution, the struggles for the establishment of the Turkestan Autonomy, the declaration of the Turkestan Autonomy, calls for Turkish-Islamic countries and peoples to unite against the "enemy", namely the Soviets, the collapse of the Turkestan Autonomy by the Soviets, the genocide against the people of Turkestan, the hypocrisy of the Soviets, the defense of the homeland against the invaders, the rebellion and the request for help from the fraternal Anatolian Turkishness constituted the main themes of the Uzbek Jadid poetry.
