Boron contents of serum and urine specimens of residents from boron-rich territories of Anatolia and borate plant workers

Abstract
In this study boron contents of serum and urine specimens of residents living on/near boron deposits and wor¬kers of borate mining and plants there abouts are presented. It has been show that no correlation could be es¬tablished with respect to boron exposure either environmentally or occupationally or both and boron amounts of sera and urine, sex, duration of exposure and complaint/disease of contacteds.
Özet
Bu gahsmada diinyamn bilinen en zengin bor yataklanmn bulundugu iilkemizin bor yataklan iizerinde ve/veya yakimndaki yerlesim birimleri yasayanlanyla aym yerlerdeki bor madeni ocaklartyla fabrikalan gah-sanlanndan ahnan kan ve idrar ornekleri bor igerikleri sunulmaktadir. Ilk kez yapilan ara§tirma sonuglan-nagdre minerale gevresel yahut mesleksel ya da hem gevresel hem mesleksel olarak maruz kalanlar arasinda temas He serum, idrar bor miktarlan, cinsiyet, temas silresi ve yakinma/hastalik korelasyonu oldugu gosterile-memistir.
