Complete remission of a case with anaplastic large cell lymphoma ( Ki-1 ) after one cyclus chemotherapy

Abstract

Anaplastic large cell lymphoma is one of the rare non-Hodgkin lymphomas seen in adults. The lymphoma cells in this group take place in T-cell lymphoma group and stain positive with CD 30. Its diagnosis is important be-, cause it can be confused with Hodgkin disease and many malignancies other than lymphoma. This group of lymphoma demonstrates high malignity, progresses rapidly and has a high relapse rate but it replies to che¬motherapy even for a short time. Because of the difficulties in the diagnosis of anaplastic large cell lymphoma, immunohistochemical technics were used for diagnosis of our case. We presented this case, as we obtain comp¬lete remission after one cyclus of chemotherapy and haven't observed relapse for 25 months.

Özet

Anaplastik buyiik hiicreli lenfoma, eri§kinlerde nadir goriilen non-Hodgkin lenfomalardandir ve Thilcreli len-fomalardan olup CD 30pozitif bulunur. Hodgkin hastahgi ve lenfoma dtsi malignitelerle kansabildigi igin ayi-rtci tanisi onemlidir. Yuksek malignite gosteren, genelde hizh seyreden ve nilks orani yuksek olan bu grup len-fomalar kemoterapiye duyarhdirlar. Vakamizda, anaplastik bilyuk hiicreli lenfoma tanisi igin bildirilen zor-luklaryasanmi§ ve immilnhistokimyasal tekniklere basvurma geregi ortaya gikmistir. Olgumuzu, bir kilr kemo¬terapi ile tarn cevap aldigimiz ve 25 aydir relaps gozlemlemedigimiz igin sunmak istedik.
