Abstract

Supporting children’s all developmental domains, acquisition of basic skills, getting well prepared for the social and academic life and exercising the right mentioned in United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child which dictates that “every child has the right to rest and leisure, to engage in play and recreational activities appropriate to the age of the child and to participate freely in cultural life and the arts” are only possible with a well prepared program and sensory-rich educational environments. From this point, in “The Right to Play, Play More!” project, it was aimed to investigate the effect of the games which 5-6 year old children play at the learning centers children on their development areas. Following an experimental method, for the study group, a kindergarten was selected among the kindergartens affiliated to the Afyonkarahisar Provincial Directorate of National Education in 2015-2016 academic year by using deviant sampling method from the purposive sampling types. A total of 41 children (morning class and afternoon class) were included in the study group in the 5-6 age group. The "General Information Form" developed by the researchers in order to collect personal information about children and families in the research and the "Pre-School Developmental Evaluation Form" aiming to evaluate the children's cognitive, language, motor and social-emotional skills were used as data collection tools. Learning Centers were planned so that a total of 41 children can work about 75-90 minutes a day for five days a week for eight weeks. The data obtained from the study were analyzed by the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test as the result of the normality test. Çocuğun tüm gelişim alanları açısından desteklenmesi, temel becerilerin kazandırılması, çocuğun yaşamaiyi bir şekilde hazırlanması ve uluslararası topluluklar ile Çocuk Hakları Sözleşmesi tarafından vurgulanan“çocuğun dinlenme, kendine ait zamanı değerlendirme, oyun oynama ve yaşına uygun eğlenceetkinliklerinde bulunma ve kültürel ve sanatsal yaşama serbestçe katılma hakkı” nı kullanabilmesi iyihazırlanmış bir program ve zengin uyarıcılarla desteklenmiş bir eğitim ortamı ile sağlanabilir. Bu noktadanhareketle “Oyun Hakkı: Daha Fazla Oyun” Projesi'nde, 5-6 yaş çocuklarının öğrenme merkezlerindeoynadıkları oyunların gelişim alanları üzerindeki etkisinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Deneysel yöntemuygulanan araştırmanın çalışma grubu için, 2015-2016 eğitim öğretim yılında Afyonkarahisar il merkeziMilli Eğitim Müdürlüğü'ne bağlı anaokulları arasından seçkisiz olmayan örnekleme yöntemlerindenamaçsal örnekleme, amaçsal örnekleme türlerinden de aykırı durum örnekleme yöntemi ile bir anaokulubelirlenmiş ve bu anaokuluna devam eden 5-6 yaş grubunda toplam 41 çocuk (sabahçı ve öğlenci) çalışmagrubuna dahil edilmiştir. Araştırmada çocuklar ve ailelerle ilgili kişisel bilgileri toplamak amacıylaaraştırmacılar tarafından geliştirilen "Genel Bilgi Formu" ve çocukların bilişsel, dil, motor ve sosyalduygusal becerilerini değerlendirmek amacı ile “Okul Öncesi Gelişimsel Değerlendirme Formu” veritoplama aracı olarak kullanılmıştır. Öğrenme Merkezleri sekiz haftalık süreç için haftada beş günuygulanmak üzere toplam 41 tane çocuğun günlük yaklaşık 75-90 dakika çalışma yapabileceği şekildeplanlanmıştır. Araştırmadan elde edilen veriler yapılan normallik testi sonucunda, Wilcoxon İşaretli SıralarTesti ile analiz edilmiştir.
